The first official images have popped up online of the Huawei Ascend D1 Q – the formidable quad-core beast that's expected to touch down at Mobile World Congress next week.
The Ascend D1 Q has been billed as the Chinese brand's fastest ever smartphone, and will spearhead Huawei's assault on the premium end of the Android market in 2012.
The pics have surfaced on Chinese site Techorz, and are suggestive rather than revealing, showing off the Ascend D1 Q's curves and details close up. It's easy enough to look at without making you fall over in admiration, but we reckon it won't look out of place sat alongside the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S II or HTC's Sensations.
There's still not too much else to go on by way of details right now – save for Huawei's insistence that the Ascend D1 Q will be Huawei's fastest smartphone yet, which we assume means a quad-core processor inside.
A helping of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich would certainly add to the appeal, but we'll have to wait until MWC next week to find out for certain.
