The Huawei Ascend P1 is already available in the UK, but don’t get your wallet out just yet, Jeeves.
We’re hearing that the Huawei Ascend P1 (not to be confused with Huawei Ascend P1 S – former “world’s thinnest smartphone”) is set for a cheeky hardware boost.
The news comes via Cool Smartphone, though it’s not clear if they’ve been jawing with Huawei themselves or some sort of anonymous source.
In any case, the Huawei Ascend P1 is tipped for a more “premium” feel (whatever that means), while the battery will swell to 1,800mAh. Current spec sheets list the battery at 1,670mAh.
Other Huawei Ascend P1 specs include a 4.3in Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB internal storage (augmentable via microSD), an 8MP rear camera, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0).
The Huawei Ascend P1 is currently going for circa £370 on both Expansys and Clove, but appears to be slightly cheaper from Amazon (£358). Again, you might want to wait for this “enhanced” fellow to arrive.
And we're still waiting for the Huawei Ascend D Quad...
