Huawei has been quite open about its intention to become a top three mobile manufacturer (presumably behind Apple and Samsung), and it’s revealed a basketful of sexy new phones this year.
One of those is the Huawei Ascend P1, and we’re hearing it’ll arrive in the UK this summer. Good times.
Just to be clear, this is not the Huawei Ascend P1 S. It’s a full millimeter thinner than the standard P1 – the one we’re talking about here.
The Huawei Ascend P1 goes on sale in China today, with Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia penciled in for May, followed by Latin America in June and Europe (hey, that’s us!) in summer.
Huawei Ascend P1 specs include a 4.3in qHD Super AMOLED display, 8MP rear camera, 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 dual-core processor, Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and Dolby Mobile audio goodness.
No word on an exact UK release date or pricing just yet, but we’ll be watching this one with a keen eye.
Hopefully the Huawei Ascend D1 Quad – the “world’s fastest smartphone” – won’t be too far behind. It promises to shake up the market by undercutting the likes of the HTC One X.
