If you were sitting twiddling your thumbs, wondering: ‘What could possibly make the Huawei Ascend P7 a more attractive prospect for a very particular group of people?’ Well, we’ve got the answer right here.
A splash of Arsenal-scented paint, that’s what. Yes, the Huawei Ascend P7 Arsenal Edition is officially – as of this morning – a thing.
For all intents and purposes, the Huawei Ascend P7 Arsenal Edition is the same as the bog standard model, so that means a 5in 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3, and “industry leading” 8MP front camera.
The first obvious difference on the Huawei Ascend P7 Arsenal Edition is the look, including the Arsenal logo “subtly mounted” on the back.
On the phone itself, you’ll find a whole bunch of crud, most of which is free to install anyway, including freemium expedition FIFA 14, Yakatak for football scores, and a bunch of BBC stuff.
We also have “bespoke” Arsenal menus, and a host of “iconic” wallpapers with images including the Highbury buildings, the Emirates at day and night, and celebrations of the FA Cup win.
Fancy it? You can register your interest at arsenalsmartphone.com. In the meantime, Huawei marketing guy Richard Ren promises: “We have a few surprises in the pipeline to make every Arsenal fan’s season the best ever, so watch this space.”
