Way back in September, Phil scribbled about the then-spanking new Huawei Honor, and mused: “Let's hope Huawei sticks a ‘U’ in the name if it comes our way.”
Well, Phil’s wish has been granted, as the Huawei Honour has finally – nine months later – landed in the UK.
The big draw on the Huawei Honour is its meaty 1,900mAh battery, allowing you to (probably) crank the brightness and background data with reckless abandon.
Other Huawei Honour specs include a 4in display, 1.4GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, an 8MP rear camera, 2MP on the front for video calls, and – somewhat disappointingly – Gingerbread (Android 2.3).
Actually, it looks like the Huawei Honour can indeed be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Huzzah!
The Huawei Honour’s RRP is £250, putting it in competition with the likes of the Nokia Lumia 800 and Orange San Diego. Amazon is a tad cheaper at £234.32, while Expansys has the Huawei Honor (EU version) for £209.99.
What do you think? Yay? Nay? Give us a play? Take it away?
