Earlier this week, a video of a Samsung Galaxy Note running Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.3) appeared on YouTube, suggesting the update was just around the corner.
Turns out that theory was bang on the money, as Ice Cream Sandwich is now making its way to the Samsung Galaxy Note, as an OTA update or via good old (ahem) Samsung KIES.
Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy Note brings an upgraded S Note app (with advanced note-taking and productivity tools) and S Memo Widget.
Thanks to Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, it looks – literally – much the same as the Gingerbread-flavoured Galaxy Note. Some might argue that that lends to a more consistent user experience, while others might crave something more stripped back.
A word of warning: despite the seemingly modest changes, Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy Note weighs in at a whopping 320MB, so you might want to crank the Wi-Fi if you’re going down the OTA route.
Are you rocking a Samsung Galaxy Note? Any sign of Ice Cream Sandwich yet?
