Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy S Plus?

I notice the Samsung Galaxy S Plus ships with Gingerbread - Android 2.3. Have Samsung said anything about Ice Cream Sandwich - Android 4.0 - for the Galaxy S Plus?

They released a list of all their official ICS update devices, the Galaxy S Plus wasn't on said list, for the reason you said :).

jeez. very expensive phone then considering its brand new and dead already.

It's a pointless phone, I'd rather import an SGS R if I really couldn't afford an S2. It's about the same price as the S Plus.

plus the R is a dual core phone.

Even though it's only a Tegra 2, that's dual core nonetheless. It's also getting the official Samsung ICS update in early 2012. It's a shame it's not sold here in the UK, but if you imported it from an EU country (I think it's sold in Scandinavian countries), the warranty would still be valid.
