Is Ice Cream Sandwich worth the fuss?

Does Ice Cream Sandwich do much that Gingerbread can't?

Depends what you expect from your phone. ICS has support for USB keyboards and mice, gamepads and USB storage devices, so if you want to play some games, especially on a tablet, it can be so much easier with ICS. Also, I've found ICS to be much smoother (ICS has hardware video accelerated gui) and also better on battery life

Not really. I don't think it has Flash support & I find battery life is better in Gb. Gmail is better in ICS tho. It's is the way forward but right now the pros are almost balanced by the cons.

I used ICS on the One X and One S. I looks nice and clean, but I hated some of the inconsistencies. The menu 'button' sometimes top right corner, sometimes all along the bottom off the screen...

The menu button inconsistencies only exist on phones with no physical or capacitive menu button, just to let people know :).

There's also some way on the HTC One S/X to remap the app switching button to be a menu button, you can still access the app switcher by long pressing one of the buttons (home, AFAIK).

Ah, okay - thanks for the clarification ;))
