Is ICS available for the SGS2 yet?

I'm talking about the official release, not a mickeymouse custom ROM.

Really? Shuwaz, I expect more from you...

No, it's not available, officially, for any devices yet, since the SG Nexus hasn't been released yet :p.

Gimme a break, I'm behind with my tech-savi-ness due to:

1) a few weeks in bed with back ache;
2) starting a new job tomorrow (end of my own little business :();

and most importantly... (drum roll)

3) baby number three is due any day. Its been absolute chaos! Wifie wanted it to born on the due date: 11/11/11 but thats not happening now.

Besides, I have this little runt of a mate abroad who says its out in the middle-east. He insists that he has an official Samsung release (for their region) which is pretty much what ICS will be. I havent went near the samsung site (i.e. for updates) ever since I installed a custom ROM.

Just wanted to make absolutely sure from the boy here at mobot.

Congratulations mate :)!!! I'm really happy for you, I think a new baby is actually one of the few valid excuses I can think of for not staying up to date with ICS release dates hehe :p.

Your mate abroad has probably just got the 2.3.5 update which I installed via ages ago, 'cos ICS definitely isn't out yet :).

Samsung have said Q1/2 for the SGS2's ICS update, you've got plenty of time to worry about other stuff first :).

Good luck in your new job btw :).
