Ideal phone for a novice priced around £100?

Finally time for my old man to upgrade from his feature phone! :D
Any recommendations around £100?

Novice? WP. A Nokia Lumia 520, or a discounted HTC 8S.
WP8 isn't perfect and there are some twists under the straightforward veneer, but it's heaps easier than Android. And the budget WP handsets are of much better build quality than the budget Android alternatives. Yes, they don't have dual- or quad-core processors, and some only have 512MB RAM, but WP is efficient.

Moto G, if you can stretch to £130. It wipes the floor with pretty much everything else in that price range.

It's got stock Android on it (basically), it should be pretty easy to master for all but the most serious technophobes. It's not like trying to master TouchWiz on a Note 3 or anything!

I'm considering acquiring Moto Gs for both my mum and daughter, both "need" new phones and both aren't bothered about having anything high end. Also, I can give far more comprehensive tech support in regard to Android compared to what I could do for a WP device.
