Infinity Blade II lands on the App Store

Infinity Blade II lands on the App StoreIf we were compiling a list of the top smartphone games, the original Infinity Blade would undoubtedly be up there. In his review, Jon praised the “incredible” graphics, deep combat mechanics, and addictive leveling system.

Now Chair Entertainment has released the sequel, Infinity Blade II, and it looks – literally and figuratively – every bit as jaw-dropping as the original.

Infinity Blade II is available from the App Store now, and the universal app – designed for the iPhone and iPad – weighs in at £4.99. Hey, you get what you pay for, man.

The sequel offers 40 new locations, alongside a host of new weapons and spells, and it’s fully optimised to take advantage of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2’s dual-core A5 chip. This might just be the game to distract me from Skyrim.

In terms of compatibility, you’ll need an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd or 4th gen) or iPad, with iOS 3.2 or later. However, Chair Entertainment recommends upgrading to iOS 5.

Expect a full Infinity Blade II review in due course, mes amis. If it gets anything less than 5/5, I’ll eat my socks.

Will be interesting to see the reviews, as great as Infinity Blade was it was quite "samey" espcecially since you had to keep going back to the beginning every time you fought the end level baddie, personally I never went back to it after I had completed it.
