Infinity Blade III touches down, fully optimised for your 64-bit A7 processor

Infinity Blade III touches down, fully optimised for your 64-bit A7 processorIt’s been a hell of a week for games. GTA V finally arrived after a five-year wait, while smartphones and tablets have, er, Angry Birds: Star Wars 2 (App Store, Google Play; I’ll get to that in words tomorrow, hopefully).

There’s more good news for iDevice owners with the arrival of Infinity Blade III (sah-weet), and indeed iPhone 5S owners will get the best from it with their 64-bit A7 processors. Lovely.

The “desktop-class” A7 processor was announced at the iPhone 5S keynote last week, and indeed some dude from Chair came out to announce Infinity Blade III at the same time.

We’re told that the iPhone 5S is some 40 times faster than the original iPhone, with 56 times faster graphics, and Infinity Blade III will take full advantage.

Of course, that’s not to say you can’t enjoy Infinity Blade III on a lesser iDevice. In fact, the minimum requirement for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners is simply listed as iOS 6.

More specifically, Infinity Blade III will run on the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, iPod Touch 4, and iPod Touch 5.

Fancy it? Head over to the App Store now, where you can grab Infinity Blade III for £4.99. I'll be giving it the review treatment, hmm, let's see, early next week.

Behind the fancy graphics, isn't Infinity Blade just a glorified version of Fruit Ninja?

Yeah. And my cats can play Fruit Ninja...

Mine doesn't know its own name, I don't hold out much hope of him ever learning to play games...

Honestly, your average wall is more intelligent than my cat; I think he may have learning difficulties :(.
