Connect your Samsung Galaxy Y to your PC/Mac/Linux machine. Pull down notification bar and tap on USB connection. Choose Mass Storage/Media Transfer from the options.
NOW that you have done that, your Galaxy oughta appear as a new drive on your computer.
(same as when you connect a USB pendrive)
Now find the Music folder of your phone, and drag any songs to it.
There are a couple of apps that let you automatically sync music. Obviously, Samsung's own KIES suite (which, imho, is awful), but also some 3rd party apps. I just cannot think of a name.
