Steve Jobs and co unveiled iOS 4.3 last Wednesday alongside the iPad 2. We were lead to believe it would launch with the iPad 2 on March 11, however the rumour mill suggests we might see iOS 4.3 as early as today.
iOS 4.3 will bring an improved browsing experience for Safari, Home Sharing for iTunes over WiFi, and the ability to use your iPhone 4 as a Wi-Fi hotspot (if your provider allows it).
iPad users will be able to use the switch as either an orientation lock or mute button.
Photo Booth, the photo application found in OS X, will be available too, though we suspect that one might be iPad-only.
You’ll be able to install iOS 4.3 on your iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, 3rd or 4th gen iPod touch and iPad.
If it’s anything like the previous updates, your best bet is probably to make a back-up of your stuff, restore your device, upgrade the firmware, then restore your photos and apps and junk. Otherwise, you might find yourself waiting for several hours.
