New iOS 5 features uncovered

New iOS 5 features uncoveredWith a supposed 200+ new features in iOS 5, Apple’s Scott Forstall didn’t exactly have enough time to go over all of ‘em at WWDC last Monday. Instead he went into detail about the top 10, with many of the others fighting for space on one measly PowerPoint slide.

Of course, many of those 200+ features will be minor adjustments that mean squat to Joseph Consumer, but a handful of notable new features have become apparent in the week since WWDC.

There are a few videos on YouTube – such as this one – showing the wireless AirPlay Mirroring in action, which lets you display content from your iPad on your HDTV via Apple TV.

There’s also the speculation about 1080p playback, which we wrote about yesterday.

And cool news for owners of fancy cars with stereos that consume music via Bluetooth; track information will now be sent, meaning the receiver can display the artist details, which is much more appealing than, say, “Track 01”.

Shame you can't do normal things with the bluetooth, like you know transfer a ruddy photo or video.

You can transfer photo and video etc, it's only mp3's you can't transfer.

I don't think Scott Forstall used PowerPoint at the Apple WWDC.
