iOS 8 widgets

I've yet to come across any/many iOS 8 widgets? Does anyone have any recommendations of something I can install to see some iOS 8 widgets in action?

The only widget I used when I toyed with iOS 8 was Clips it's like a copy/paste clipboard... quite handy when you, well, copy and paste a lot - be it links, images or whatnot. The widget places the last few clippings into the Notification Centre.

You can search "widgets" in the Appstore. They have their own secret little section.
I have to say: I'm not a widget fan. Today's smartphones have a lot of oomph. Why not just open the fr*gging, fully functional app?

I use several, Yahoo Weather, Guardian, Clear and Wunderlist.

TJ - does the Yahoo one still require location services? Or can you search/enter a fixed location?

So how do you know if an app you've already installed has a widget? Does it appear automatically?

Well, if the app came prior to iOS 8 it won't have a widget. If it came after, you should get a prompt when you start the app. Or it may appear in "Notifications" in the main Settings...

The widget uses location services.

Tap Edit at the bottom of notification centre and it will allow you to add any widgets that are already available.
