Is iOS still the platform of choice for gaming?

Is iOS still the platform of choice for gaming? (Even though Android has way higher market share?)

iOS.
Android has too many variants for developers to invest their time and effort in, plus the Apple ecosystem (euch, I hate that word) gets them more income.
i.e. they can charge more and quite often do.

Yep, that's pretty much it. Survey after survey shows that Android users change devices frequently but hate spending actual money on apps. Until recently old Symbian was generating more direct income for app developers than Android - that's how cheap Android fans are :p

A lot of iOS users would also own 2 or 3 iDevices and apps work on all of them, so investing in apps makes a tad more sense. With Android you can't quite know if the next update of a £5 app will work on your next Android phone (hello, SPB ;) )
