Apple has made an official statement confirming the iPad 2’s UK launch this Friday, allaying fears that greedy Americans might cause delays in the rest of the world.
Apple says: "The iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK on March 25."
Mind you, there’s still the question of just how many iPad 2s will be available. Regardless, they’ll officially go on sale at 5pm, meaning you can waste your entire Friday standing in the cold in the hopes of maybe possibly getting one. If you’re lucky. Online orders start at 1am.
The prices have been made official too, and they start a little lower than the original iPad did one year ago. Here’s the full menu:
