I want an ipad 2 but is there any point paying for 3G?

I am almost always in wifi areas, but worried that my habits might change in the future and I would regret not getting a 3G model. It's £100 more on the Apple store though, it seems like a lot just for that. Is there any point getting the 3G one for me?

What phone do you have?
If it's capable you could always use that to tether* to.

*use your phone as a WIFI hotspot.

Yes indeed
Provided its been upgraded to Android 2.2 - Froyo, it's part of the Operating system to allow this.
It's available from the wifi & network settings on your handset
