Cripes knows what we’ll be writing about after March 2. iPad 2 rumours account for approximately 99.2% of our news at the moment. But it’s our duty to report those rumours, and report them we shall.
Ready? Think positive…
Apple Insider reckons the iPad 2 might start shipping sooner than expected. Indeed, “according to people familiar with the matter,” the device could very well be in transit during the March 2 announcement.
But who are these mysterious informants whispering in Apple Insider’s ear? “These same people have consistently provided accurate information regarding Apple's future product plans and the timing related to those plans.” Though the Insiders acknowledge that this information contradicts, well, pretty much everything else we’ve heard to date.
Apple has sold what can only be described as a crapload of iPads. It shifted 4.3 million units in Q3 of 2010, and a further 7.3 million during a “phenomenal holiday quarter”.
The iPad 2 is expected to be slimmer and lighter, while packing front and rear cameras. Interesting.
One thing’s for sure: we’ll finally find out what the heck is going on this Wednesday.
