We’ve heard all sorts of iPad 3 rumours over the past few months, and the industry is pretty sure what to expect from this Wednesday’s iPad 3 launch event (2048 x 1536 display, quad-core A6 processor, 8MP iPhone 4S-style camera...).
However, an iPad 3 concept video from AatmaStudio has gone several hundred steps further, with all sorts of insane-o features. We’re pretty sure AatmaStudio themselves would admit that said concept – as awesome as it looks – is sliiightly far-fetched.
The concept video shows a completely edge-to-edge Retina iPad 3 (definitely no Home button here!), with NFC and – here’s where it starts to go really crazy – internal magnets.
With the iPad 3’s internal magnets, you can sit two units side by side to form one large display. You can even pick the beast up as if it were one device.
So far, so crazy, but it gets crazier still.
At the 36-second mark we’re introduced to ‘3D Multiplayer Hologram’. Touch controls are projected either side of the device, and two guys enjoy a game of American Football with 3D holographic players. Furging. Awesome. I want one!
Way to put a downer on the iPad 3 launch event, AatmaStudio. I hate stupid real life.
