Best iPad data plan for occasional use?

I'm getting a 3G iPad, but will only occasionally use data. Is there a data plan that lasts for, say, a year? I don't want to put credit on then have it expire after 30 days... if that makes sense!

Found it-

Alternatively Three do a one month rolling contract for £7.50pm with 1GB data allowance per month.

Three are the cheapest and best for data in the UK but make sure you get signal with them wherever you live/plan to travel before going for one of the above.

Not that I can think of, in all honesty.

I'm assuming you live in the UK, right?

Three do 12GB which is valid for 12 months for £70 i think. It's only available in store as far as i'm aware?

Apparently that doesn't work any more, someone on here the other day said that T-Mobile have stopped that booster. If that's true it's a real shame as it was a fantastic non-contract data plan, I used it for a fair few years before I got my SIMO contract.

Yeah, I know it's still on their site, but apparently you can't buy it any more. I don't see why anyone would make that up :/, though they could have done...

Are you sure you've not confused it with the iphone sim that got free internet for the year?

Technically though those sims can not be used in a phone and if for some reason EE get strict and mean then they'll start blocking people that use them in Mobile broadband devices.
