iPad finally gets Facebook app

iPad finally gets Facebook appHas it really taken this long? After a colossal wait, iPad owners finally got their own tailored version of the Facebook app yesterday.

The Facebook guys have popped up a blog post detailing the many sexy features, and – as you’d expect – the app is entirely free. Party time.

The guys seem particularly proud of the interface for photographs. Leon Dubinsky explains: “Photos really shine on the iPad. They're bigger and easy to flip through, like a real photo album. It's like having a slideshow with all your friends and memories, wherever you go.”

There’s a handy menu on the left hand side with games, apps, and groups, so you “don't have to dig around to find the stuff you use most.” Neat.

There’s also a slick chat interface, and the ability to play games and use apps in full-screen mode.

The iPhone app has been dolled-up too. It boasts simplified navigation, faster search, and access to more games and apps.

Good times. Er, if you use Facebook.
