I recently screamed: Yeah, I’m loving the new iPad, largely on account of the fact that I can multitask i.e. watch rubbish on TV while playing games on a decent-sized screen.
And it seems that I’m not alone. A survey by ChangeWave suggests that people are largely very happy with their purchase. We’re a smug lot, us iPad owners.
Before we get down to the nitty gritty, it’s worth pointing out that the survey encompasses a mere 200 users. That’s – what? – maybe 0.000000000000001% of all new iPad users?
Anyways, of those 200, 82% were very satisfied, 16% were somewhat satisfied, and 2% were somewhat unsatisfied (I’d love to know why). None of the 200 were very unsatisfied.
The respondents were asked to pick their favourite three new iPad features, and the Retina display easily took pole position with 75%. Waaaay behind in second is the battery (22%), followed by 4G LTE (21%). Don’t get us started on 4G.
As for dislikes, cost of the new iPad weighed in at 26%, closely followed by cost of data plans (23%), while size/weight (8%) took the bronze medal.
And remember that new iPad heat issue? None of the 200 users described it as a very big problem, 4% reckoned it was somewhat of a problem, 7% said it was not much of a problem, and 89% didn’t notice a problem at all. Funny that. It's almost like it was blown out of proportion or something.
