Three iPads ... One set of account details ... Bad idea? :-p

So it's looking like we'll have three iPads in our family quite soon and I was wondering: could we set them up with the same details so that we're effectively thirding the cost of apps?

I suppose the downside is if only one person wants a particular paid app, but we like a lot of the same stuff. And if a game costs £9.99 - that's a saving of £6.66 :p

Likely that's what many are doing.
Just let them pay for that app then?

This seems like it's more a question about the social dynamic of your family, it's possible to do, but do you trust your family members enough not to make it a pain in the ****?

It's no problem. The only question has been alluded to by matt: trust. Whose credit card is tied to the account? Whose vouchers?
But that aside: nope. It's not a problem. The 3 iPads will have their separate back-ups etc etc

Yeah would definitely suggest not using credit card (mind you I would anyway*), buy the vouchers between them?

*seeing as you can often get the vouchers on offers.
