Can the iPhone 3GS still handle most apps on the App Store?

Can the iPhone 3GS still handle most apps on the App Store? I know it might struggle with some high-end games, but are most new apps compatible?

Currently yeah and probably for a while, wouldn't recommend getting one now but I wouldn't throw one in the bin, seems apple could be trying to keep it alive by it getting ios6 (mostly)

Have you used an iPhone 3G with iOS4? Newer software doesn't necessarily keep an iPhone alive for longer :p.

A 3G and iOS4 is not something you'd enjoy...

Think if I had a 3gs I'd wait until others had played with ios 6 then, let others beta test it.

If they do intend to keep selling it (as some feel is why it's getting ios6) they'd best make sure it works fairly well though?

You'd think they'd have made sure iOS4 didn't make the 3G lag like hell; they didn't.

Were they still selling the 3g?

I don't know. I had a 3G and the iOS4 update made it even worse than it was before.
