Does the iPhone 4 still have signal problems?

Did Apple fix the iPhone 4’s signal problem? Any point getting it if they haven't? I just wanted to put invisible shield on it and not a full body case

I've had my iPhone 4 since day 1 and have an invisible shield on the front and back, and have never had a problem with signal ever

At the end of February THIS year, Consumer Reports re-tested the iPhone 4 (when it was released on Verizon),and stuck the "not recommended" label on it again. It seems Apple have not changed the hardware.
I had an iPhone 4 last year, and I had a rubber case - not so much to avoid attenuation, but because I found the glass back and metal frame very uncomfortable and slippery. I had no probs with reception. In fact, it performed better than both my HTC Desire and HTC Desire HD in terms of reception.

Thanks Martin, that's pretty much what I wanted to know. But if the hardware is still the same, I worry I'll be unlucky with it.

Jan - I guess I could just get a case if all else fails.

Yes, a case will definitely prevent signal loss. And it'll keep the phone in good shape for resale ;)

I Think Apple claims that iphone Distributed or sold after September 2010 don't have the signal problem.

BUT if you ever come across any problem with in 12 months. Just book a Genius bar appointment with apple and ask them to change it for you ( Well in most cases they change it without asking). Simple as that. :)
