If I get an iPhone 4 now am I stuck with it?

Will I be able to exchange for an iPhone 5 when it comes out or would I be stuck with the iPhone 4? If that's the case I don't understadn why anyone would buy an iPhone 4 right now! :-$

People dont do it mostly because its a hassle!

I assume you mean take out a contract with an iPhone 4 rather than buy one new outright (as thats obvious, the gap between the price of a new iPhone hasnt dropped since launch but the price of the second hand market has steadily dropped so you would be out of pocket when the new one comes out in a month, as is rumoured)

If you got the iPhone 4 now on a contract then when the iPhone 5 came out you would either have to discuss with your provider to get the iPhone through them and paying a certain amount for the phone, or go to an independent shop where they would buy you out of the contract and set you up with a new one, again probably costing you a lot.

If youre that desperate for an iPhone 4 then get one second hand now and then sell and get an iPhone 5 new when they are out. Its best to get the Phone from apple and a sim only account, although it is a much larger outlay it costs a lot less over the course of the contract (especially since iPhone contracts usually are 24 months and sim only are 12 months) amd youd get more mins/texts/internet with someone like GiffGaff

People that need a phone will buy one now. You never know how long iPhone 5 will take as it might be sold out for quite some time.

The iPhone5 is already out, its called the Samsung Galaxy S2 and it even costs less than the iPhone 4

Why would you want an iPhone in the first place?

The iPhone is the Godfather of all phones!
