iPhone 4S now available to pre-order

iPhone 4S now available to pre-orderWe’re really struggling to see the iPhone 4S as anything other than an iPhone 4 with an 8MP camera, dual-core processor and Siri. Er, probably ‘cause that’s exactly what it is. We’re very literal here at Mobot.

However, if you’re one of the millions of folk currently wetting your pants at the thought of those modest enhancements, you’ll be happy to learn that the iPhone 4S is now available to pre-order.

Looking at the Apple site, the 16GB iPhone 4S is £499 SIM free, the 32GB is £599, and the 64GB is a whopping £699. Why anyone would want to buy an 8GB iPhone 4 (note the lack of “S”) at £429 is beyond me.

T-Mobile and Orange have revealed their price plans for the iPhone 4S too. Needless to say, you can spend more up front and less per month, blah blah blah. On Orange, you can pay anything from nowt to £519.99 for the handset, and £20-£61PM. Oh, they’re all 24-month contracts.

Click the links to check out the Orange iPhone 4S price plans and T-Mobile iPhone 4S price plans.

If you pre-order your iPhone 4S today, it should – all going well – be with you this time next week.

£699?
::picks self up from floor::
moving from 16 to 32 Gb does not cost £100.
Wonder how many 64Gb models they shift..

Very few, for the simple reason that I doubt many networks will offer them on appealing contracts and that's pretty much the only way to reasonably buy a £700 phone...if there's a reasonable way at all :/.

I would add who would buy a new 3GS at £319 as well, for a 2 year old model! For that money you could get one of the earlier dual core Androids (like the Atrix) or for a lot less even a pretty sold single core phone like the Ericsson Play (under £200) or

Saying that, im glad my 3GS will continue to be supported by iOS5, means I can hang on to it for a little longer while I wait/work out what phone I should get next, which at the moment is a bit blank since ive not got on with Android, Symbian and now meego or webOS is no longer an option.Hoping Ice cream sandwich may change my mind on android....

Stelph, I agree: the 8GB iPhone 4 is ridiculously priced. If it had an expansion slot...

cheapest iphone 4s contract

100 mins 500 texts 250mb internet £359 upfront £26 a month for 24...

for the contract.. £983. minus your £99 means an end price for a pathetic contract £884... wow...

kdsaunders  Oct. 7, 2011 at 17:18

300 mins, unlimited texts, 500MB £319 upfront, £36 a month for the contract £751, minus the £99 = £652.

Cheapest way to get one is to buy it outright on an interest free credit card and put a Giff Gaff sim in it. Tesco do 15 months interest free and 300 mins unlimted texts and web is £10 a month
