We’re really struggling to see the iPhone 4S as anything other than an iPhone 4 with an 8MP camera, dual-core processor and Siri. Er, probably ‘cause that’s exactly what it is. We’re very literal here at Mobot.
However, if you’re one of the millions of folk currently wetting your pants at the thought of those modest enhancements, you’ll be happy to learn that the iPhone 4S is now available to pre-order.
Looking at the Apple site, the 16GB iPhone 4S is £499 SIM free, the 32GB is £599, and the 64GB is a whopping £699. Why anyone would want to buy an 8GB iPhone 4 (note the lack of “S”) at £429 is beyond me.
T-Mobile and Orange have revealed their price plans for the iPhone 4S too. Needless to say, you can spend more up front and less per month, blah blah blah. On Orange, you can pay anything from nowt to £519.99 for the handset, and £20-£61PM. Oh, they’re all 24-month contracts.

If you pre-order your iPhone 4S today, it should – all going well – be with you this time next week.
