Is the iPhone 5 just a bigger iPhone 4S?

What's the difference between the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S other than the larger display?

Been using both.
The iPhone 5 has better battery life, is overall faster, camera is better - especially in low light; faster also - both in terms of loading and shooting. Speaker sound is better and louder (subjective...). Did I mention: battery is better despite a bigger screen and more better fastiness :p In fact: Of the 15 or so smartphones I used these past 12 months the iPhone 5 has easily the best battery life - except for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the classic E75 I bought LOL

Screen on the 5 is not just bigger - it's also better; crisp - high quality text files look like print. It's like there is no glass covering it. Speaking of: the glass is indeed tougher than that covering the 4/4s - which I managed to scratch.
Oddly, I like the new connector. Minute detail, but being able to plug it in both ways is kinda neat.
Call quality is excellent; and even on Vodafone Ireland's crap network I haven't had any connection issues.
MINUS: I would have liked a tighter/sturdier feel. It's very light. My main device is a Nokia N9 - that feels like you can use it as a hammer if push comes to nail. And you probably can.
However: the iPhone 5 is sturdy, and I dropped it a couple of times without any damage.
Also: I think (!) the 4S I had gave me that vital bar extra where reception is sucky. But I have no complaints, really.

One thing I'd like on all connectors although be happier to see them entirely obsolete.
