More iPhone 5 details leaked thanks to back plate video

More iPhone 5 details leaked thanks to back plate videoThe iPhone 5 rumors are really starting to heat up. Yesterday we had some analyst guy essentially reiterating the notion that the iPhone 5 will stretch to around 4in, complete with some nice diagrams and that.

Now we’ve got more juicy iPhone 5 info, courtesy of a video appearing to contain the back plate.

The video was posted on YouTube by Etrade Supply, and seems to confirm what we already know – or think we know – about the iPhone 5, along with some new stuff. ‘Citing.

The iPhone 5 back plate is the same width as the iPhone 4S, but taller and slimmer, which is pretty much what we’ve been hearing for the past few weeks. We’re told to expect a 4in iPhone 5 with 16:9 aspect ratio.

Interestingly, the headphone jack on the iPhone 5 appears to be on the bottom of the device. Is that a good thing? The jury’s out...

There’s also – shock horror – a smaller dock connector. Finally! Death to the giant beast. As a result, there’s now more real estate on the bottom for meaty-looking speakers.

And finally, the SIM card tray is a different size. Woop.

And there you have it; the iPhone 5’s back plate. Salt? Well, if it’s a fake, it certainly gets an A for effort.

since Treab bought a WP Nokia, anything's possible, I guess... :p

Wasn't one of the reasons mooted for it to stretch up (and introduce more fragmentation ;) ) rather than both ways so that it could still fit current docks, seems rather redundant if changing the dock connection

Seriously, though: the leaked iPad Mini backplate looks quite similar in design - guess the scam is either very elaborate, or those parts are real....

Whenever they want to release the next version iPhone, however problem is hearing impaired / deaf people don’t buy the iPhone, because it’s not compatible to use video calls to other non-iphone mobile phones as it doesn’t work. That’s why they buy non-apple mobile phones that do work for making video calls from mobile to mobile like talking on phone, without using internet…
