iPhone 5 becomes PRO-spec DSLR with attachment - maybe

iPhone 5 becomes PRO-spec DSLR with attachment - maybeWe can't quite work out if this looks really cool or really weird. The iPhone 5 hasn't even been announced yet and heaven knows what it's going to look like. But even still, a designer has created this concept for it.

Choi Jinyoung has come up with the iPhone PRO, a DSLR lens concept that quite simply clips on and includes both a 1.2MP 3D camera and removable hard disk. It also gives us a rear connection point which would then mean it could be used for, perhaps, a projector.

It's all very space age and certainly grabs the attention but we can't help wondering if it's a little too space age. For example, the whole point in people shooting with their phones is that they're portable.

This lens is hardly that meaning if you're a serious photographer, why lug this around with you to clip onto a phone when a DSLR camera probably won't be that much more inconvenient.

Not that we're experts in photography as we're sure some of you are. But can you see it working? Would you buy one? Let us know below.

pro spec my ****. check the 41mp nokia thread, the sensor chip will be far too small for any pro use. Get some longer range farcebook snaps though.

I wouldn't encourage putting a DSLR lens in, on or around your ****.

Seen similar although vastly smaller circumference lenses for iphones on the gadget show.
Don't see why it would be this large, look at size of camera lenses as sensor gets smaller.

Anyway following the link, ho hum just something that will never be by designer that will not be allowed near their product design process.
