Will the iPhone 5 use a micro sim?

Has the use of micro sims in the iPhone 4 been successful? Do you think the iPhone 5 will use micro sims too?

Are you suggesting it might have been a pointless endeavour ;)?

Almost certainly. Apple would basically be saying to the tech world that micro SIM was a pointless endeavour if they didn't carry through with it.

stupid endeavour!
Trying out loadsa different phones, I'll never cut my main number's sim or zwap it for a microsim just to have a go at an Applethisorthat...so, I'll never experience an iPhone with real life usage.
And if they want to save space, how bout a micro usb connector instead of that ginormous apple thing?

i think the mirco sim card was a stupid idea from the start because then ill have to get a new sim card for the iphone. and if something happens like it breaks and i cant use the iphone anymore and i want to switch back to an older phone. i would have to call my company and pay an $15 activation fee just to use it. this is like using a CDMA phone (phones without sim cards) and ill have to call the company everytime i want to switch phones.

exactly my sentiment - even though I wouldn't need to pay for different sims, there would be a waiting period involved.

If Apple have their way there will be no sim ...

Darren, you're right, just like CDMA phones in the US and Japan.
