Why does the iPhone 5 use a nano-SIM?
Why does the iPhone 5 use a nano-SIM? Is it purely to save a tiny bit of space? Don't they realise how much trouble they've caused? ![]()

Yes they realise, no they don't care. The Nano-SIM is Apple's vision of the future (to me, it seems entirely pointless, my SGS2 works fine with it's "ancient", big SIM card).

Yes... like when they introduced micro-sims. Now used in Android, WP, MeeGo etc etc...
We llive in a nutty world. There is a German saying: Es gibt kein richtiges Leben im falschen.
If you can Google that and then make sense of it, you're almost there ![]()

Mein GCSE Deutsch war nicht so gut, es var etwa zwanzig Jahre...ago. (I have no idea what the German word for "ago" is).
Also, tie-dye T-Shirt? I know what they are, I just don't understand their relevance...

The expression originated (or was popularised) in the 60s "counter culture"... kinda like a response to "changing the system from within"...

"es war vor 20 Jahren" - or: "es ist zwanzig Jahre her" ... Impressive, nonetheless :O

Das iPhone, iPhone 3G und iPhone 3GS habe eine normale SIM. Das iPhone 4 und 4S habe eine Micro-SIM.
Jan, please correct my German
. Also, how the hell did you learn English to your current level (I've always wanted to improve my German, but I've never had time/found an effective way)? If you'd not told me, I would have no idea you weren't born and raised in the UK.

Just as well that was easy to read, it took a while for anyone else to use it then. So won't see nano in anything else for a while most likely then.
His English is too good to have been raised in uk ![]()

Is there some rule for things like that, or is it just a case of remembering where the right place to use certain words is? For example, in English, for some reason, "seil" from the word "abseil" has the exact same spoken sound as "sail" and "sale", yet they mean totally different things. You just have to remember which one goes where in what context (which must be nigh on impossible for non-English speakers to learn).

True...lots of people here seem to struggle with even the most basic syntax and have great trouble even speaking English properly.
