Will the iPhone 5 from the online Apple store support UK 4G?

Will the iPhone 5 from the online Apple store support UK 4G? Can't see any mention of 4G. Is there a separate model with 4G compatibility?

It only supports 4G on the 1800MHz band.

Only EE and Three use this band (along with others) so it will work on these networks, but it won't work as well as other phones that support the 800 and 2600MHz frequency that EE and Three use as well.

It will NOT work on O2 or Vodafone at all for 4G.

You probably need to wait for the iPhone 5s or something. Apple never release another varient after main release.

Three won't get that 1800 band til the autumn too.
Entirely possible that EE and three won't even use 1800 in some areas and the 800 will work better indoors regardless.

I'm not so sure they wouldn't release a more thorough 4g version unless the new one is imminent when 4g hits other networks anyway.

Exactly if they could get some mugs to buy an i5 and then to replace it a couple of months later with the i5s...
