iPhone 5 release date leaked?

iPhone 5 release date leaked?According to T3, a customer sales rep at the St Albans branch of Phones4u has managed to pin down the release date for the iPhone 5. Phones4u’s Shazna reckons the iPhone 5 will land on November 21.

Shazna explains: "The iPhone 5 has been delayed until November following an issue with the handset's software,” and suggests that the iPhone 5 will be “pretty much the same as the iPhone 4 with new software. The software is the main difference with the iPhone 5."

That certainly seems to tie in with what we’ve heard to date, though we’re surprised the release date has apparently been set some six months in advance. A world exclusive for St Albans' Phones4u?

A further quote confirms that “the iPhone 5 has been delayed until November but the only difference between the 4 and the 5 is software updates, that’s the only difference.” The only difference? Really?

Indeed, Phones4u’s head office was keen to stress that the statement was entirely unofficial, instead attributing it to an “over-excited member of staff who is clearly a fan of the iPhone brand.”

We've got this one filed under "Meh".

What an awful rumour.. Why would an employee at a phone store know the release date of the iPhone 5 before it was leaked online by a more reputable source.
If the iPhone 5 was the was as the iPhone 4 except for newer software then surely when you update the iPhone 4 it would be an iPhone 5?
Trash this is!

such a crock of crap... A member of staff working in a mid town meh store would never have information like that. Even if Apple had told a retailer, which is highly unlikely, they'd all be made to sign disclosure agreements. Why worry about the iPhone launch, the market has far superior handsets available without all the crap that Apple make you do! Plus as a bonus, you don't have to use iTunes!

But it would be kinda funny if it was true...

Agree that this is BS of the very highest order and I can't believe that an article as pointless as this has been published!
