The least shocking and most predictable headline of 2013 will inevitably be: iPHONE 5S LOOKS IDENTICAL TO iPHONE 5. We’re all total wiseacres here (including you, dear readers), and know exactly what to expect.
As such, you can keep your Emergency Surprise Kits firmly to one side, as I tell you that the latest iPhone 5S pics suggest it’s pretty much just an iPhone 5.
Do not refresh your browsers; this story is in addition to the article I penned this time yesterday morning, saying, er, exactly the same thing (sorry).
Courtesy of MacRumours, we’re getting a glimpse of the interior and rear shell of the iPhone 5S, with the former appearing to gel happily with previous leaks.
The iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPhone 5 and iPad 4 rocked Apple A5, A5X, A6 and A6X processors respectively. Logic dictates that we should expect an Apple A7 processor on the iPhone 5S, though the chip here is unlabelled.
The only other thing of note on the inside is the iPhone 5S battery creeping to 5.92 Whr (watt hours) from the iPhone 5’s 5.45 Wr.
Meanwhile, on the iPhone 5S rear shell, the presence of a pill-shaped window gives credence to the notion of a dual LED flesh on the next iPhone. The current iPhone 5 has a little circular chap.
As I was saying yesterday, the headline feature on the iPhone 5S is thought to be a fingerprint scanner for additional security. Other iPhone 5S specs will probably include a faster processor and enhanced rear camera.
