Isn't the iPhone 5S overdue?

I feel like the iPhone 5 has been around for ages!

That's because every other company has released 3 to 5 flagships since. Not a good thing imho... Regardless of how good or bad iPhones are, I doubt it helps overall quality to churn out new flagships before the previous one has been optimised in terms of software.

As Jan says every other company churns out a lot of phones, a lot of them seem indistinguishable from all the other models, at least to me. The iPhone 5 was released in September last year so it's not quite been a year and according to rumours the new lineup should be announced next month. One phone with all the features and technology is better than releasing 5 or 6 flagship models in a year with only minor improvements over the last or a slightly different look.
