iPhone 5S - worth the extra 80 quid?

Do you think the iPhone 5S is worth the extra 80 quid over the iPhone 5C?

I like the colours of the iPhone 5C but I'd feel like I was losing out. Not bothered about Touch id though!

Yeah, I reckon it's worth the extra 80 quid. You're already blowing a sh*t-ton of money, what does another 80 quid matter :p?

It is. No doubt.
Even without bothering with the sensor, the 5S is better.
And you'll get the 80 quid back easily when you sell the phone in a year.

Ahh, yes resale value. The 5C, I think, will end up being worth less than the 5.

Agree... assuming the 5 is scratchfree, I'd pay more. And after a year plus the 10% extra battery juice is probably not that noticeable anymore.

Yep, I think that like for like the 5 will end up being the more valuable device.

I noticed the other day that Apple's weekend sales figures for the new iPhones were a total figure, not separate figures for the 5S and 5C. Whether that's just a way to shout a bigger number or an attempt to hide poor sales of one of the devices (read: the 5C) I don't know. Just food for thought really...

Yeah, some ad-trackers reckon 5S outnumbers 5C circa 2:1...
But it's early in the game. Plus, many surveys indicate that the fingerprint scanner is very
popular.

You have to admit, it is a cool feature. I want one, and I'll happily admit that Apple's implementation of it is the best we've seen so far on a mobile device.

As for 2:1, that would mean 6 million 5S' and 3 million 5Cs, I wouldn't be surprised if the figures end up even more in favour of the 5S.

I guess. I had an iPhone 5C in my hands for about 2 minutes earlier today.
No miatake: it doesn't feel or look cheap in real life. The colours are not my thing, but it has the
"Apple feel" - plastic or not. Nokia's Lumias do feel more solid though - well, they ARE all pretty heavy chunkies!

I've not handled one yet, but I'm assuming they're the same kind of solid build that that 3G and 3GS are? Neither of those felt cheap, in fact they felt nicer in the hand than the 4 and 5 due to their curved back and sides.

Yes, similar.
