iPhone docks

How much should I expect to pay for an iPhone dock with good sound quality?
It's a Lightning iPhone if that makes any difference.

By dock, you mean sonething to blast your neighbours' ears or something just to rest and charge, or something for both?

Well there's several different types you could go for, docks with a lightning connector seem to still be in short supply but they're slowly rolling them out. As for good sound quality and price that's really down to the user and what they consider to be a good comprise between the two. I paid £50 for a Gear4 HouseParty 4 when I had an iPhone 4 and I found the sound quality to be great for what it was and for the amount I paid, better than most in it's price range. Undoubtedly you'd get something better sound wise if you paid a lot more, but again that's subjective.

The other alternative would be to look at docks with AirPlay or Bluetooth support so you can stream music wirelessly. Some prefer to actually dock their phone so it charges at the same time or for other reasons. But it seems like AirPlay and Bluetooth enabled docks have been on the increase since the change to the Lightning connector with some manufacturers not wanting to build in an actual dock. I suppose a wireless speaker dock would be future proof, although I don't expect Apple to change it's connector anytime soon, plus it would also work with other brands of handset via Bluetooth if you decide to change.

You can still look at docks with old 30 Pin connections, just get an adaptor from eBay for around £2

For good SQ, expect to pay around £100
If you live near a Richer Sounds that has this in stock then it's a good dock for the price,-speakers-and-portables/onkyo/rbx500/onky-rbx500-blk

Or consider a soundbar with either dock or Bluetooth as at least you get better sound from your TV too.
