Does the iPhone come with free headphones?

Does a new iPhone come with free headphones? If so ,what are they like?

Yes, and, well, they are so-so... I find the sound isn't too bad, but the iPhones aren't loud enough for my taste. With 3rd party earphones I got more out of them.

iPhone 5, 5c and 5s come with so-called EarPods

I've never used EarPods, but I'll take a gamble and say my Sennheiser CX500s would blow them out of the water. Hell, I bet even Samsung's standard headphones for their high end phones would be far, far better.

Matt, your gamble's spot on. The Sennheiser'd kill them. Even the 200 and 300....
Though: again: the sound of the EarPods isn't bad imho... But even connected to the beastly Nokia N91 or HTC One M8 they are way too quiet...

My only two pairs of headphones are my Note 2's headphones and my CX500s. The Sennheisers are far better, but it's surprising how good the Samsung's are.

Samsung had fairly good earphones even pre-iPhone and all that.

Aside: I just used the ones Nokia ship with the 1020 and 1520.
What an utter disgrace. They used to ship pretty good cans with their flagships in the
olden days. But the new ones? Cheap looking rubbish. Such a crass clash with the immaculate hardware of the phones - almost funny.
