Can I use my iPhone as a Wi-Fi hotspot?

I’m using an iPhone 4. How do I turn it into a Wi-Fi hotspot for my PC?

You do not need to be jailbroken. You can enable this feature with the iOS 4.3 beta firmware. But you will need to activate the UDID of the phone with Apple to sucessfully activate your device once iOS 4.3 is installed. And even then a Mac may be needed to activate this feature.

I believe it would need to be jailbroken and then you could use the MyWi app from Cydia.

I am currently stuck using my iPhone's tether as my only means of internet access and, if you can, use USB. At first I thought I just wasn't getting a very good 3G signal, the internet was so bad, but it turned out it was just the amount lost using the phone for Wifi.

If you need it for simple functions, or you need multiple computers to be able to access it, it's ok, but otherwise wired is much better, and also better for your battery.

Yes you can do that with new version of iPhone firmware 4.3 But you will be charged for it if you don't have unlimited internet.

To Avoid that.

Jailbreak you mobile and dowload MYWI . The best app which will do the job.

Many thanks
