iTunes for Android?

Is there any way to get iTunes for Android or will it ever be released officially?

No. No and highly highly highly unlikely.

There are apps that supposedly link to itunes on a pc to sync music and video but no itunes app on android

There is AirPlay app in Play store, not clue what it does, but sound like something Apple.

Airsync would probably be nearer if they want to sync with itunes, if they really do want Apple to release itunes app for android though best get used to waiting.

Waiting as in "getting a job with Apple, be a manipulative genius; get Cook fired because of the photos you take at the Christmas party; bring company close to ruin; have persuasive 'vision' for comeback that involves the slow infiltration of Google..." Or something like that? Right?

IT'S not gonna happen.

Similar. ;-) The Nokian horse method you suggest does seem strong one.

I do wonder if some people look at there being a PC version of itunes and thinking that maybe apple could be open to such an app (and in some ways there is an argument to getting their shopfront on all platforms)
However they had to have pc version for ipods to thrive whereas they don't need the android app for iphones and ipads.

Exactly. Also: even on the iPhone "iTunes" doesn't really exist as it does on Macs/PCs - its functionality split into iTunes, appstore, iBooks, iCloud etc... so it's more like 5 or 6 'iTunes' apps baked into iOS. And it still doesn't do everything the desktop version does.
So, I never understand what people exactly expect when they ask for an Android version ;)
