Should I jailbreak my iPhone 4?

What are the benefits of jailbreaking an iPhone 4?

For me the biggest advantage is that you do not rely on iTunes to transfer songs and vids etc because I run mostly Linux on my PC, and Apple think we're not worthy :p oh, and I hate iTunes.

There are some good apps that you can only get for a jailbreaked iPhone. Here's a selection of 10 of those on bestiphoneapss.com

The downside - you open up the iPhone's root file system to outside intruders and naughty malware, and not all 3rd party apps are stable... I haven't encountered particular problems, but things can go wrong. And you know Murphy's Law, right?! ;)
