Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II ‘confirmed’

Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II ‘confirmed’A few weeks ago, we heard that Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) plans for the Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II were a tad up in the air, and – in the worst case – we might instead see a pair of “Value Packs”.

However, Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II owners can dry their tears, as the Jelly Bean update has been “confirmed”. Er, unofficially.

Like the aforementioned news of potential Value Packs, the latest word comes from Sammobile, and its anonymous “insiders”.

For the Samsung Galaxy S II Jelly Bean update, we’re told to expect the rollout to commence in September or October. It’s not clear if that timeframe also applies to the Samsung Galaxy Note.

As for Samsung's other big players, the latest whisperings suggest late August for the Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update, while it’s still unknown if the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will land with Android 4.1.

Incidentally, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is tipped for launch at IFA in Berlin, on August 29. That’s… one week on Wednesday. ‘Citing.

On the basis I'm typing this from an S2, which is running Jelly Bean, there's no reason Samsung can't make it work too.
