You’d be forgiven for tiring of the various patent wars raging across the globe. Innovate, don’t litigate, dudes.
As the Apple vs Samsung trial continues, Judge Lucy Koh has made one last desperate plea for peace, possibly in an attempt to avoid hearing more about patents for core wireless technologies. Yawn.
The honourable Judge Koh warned: “I see risk here for both sides if we go to a verdict. It’s time for peace.”
According to AllThingsD, Apple and Samsung execs have agreed to “at least a telephone meeting”.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Apple and Samsung have been asked to grow up. The pair was ordered to talk things out back in April, and again in June – when Koh asked: “Can’t we all just get along here? I will send you with box of chocolates, whatever."
Meh, we won’t hold our collective Mobobreath.
Closing arguments are scheduled for Tuesday, and the following day Samsung will start its countersuing action. Apple is looking for a whopping $2.45 billion from Samsung. Cripes.
