Wow, someone from my neck of the woods! :p Have you got any other problems with your Wildfire S? Because all the "Learn More" does is take you here. In fact, this feature seems to have been removed on later phones (my HTC Sensation does not have it whereas my Desire did).

where are you scrolling? in settings - applications - all?? or in the apps drawer/menu? sorry, it's not in the sgsII I'm looking at...

You're not alone Jan, I can't find it on my S2 either. Lizzy, it may be an HTC specific menu option, just try changing the language of the whole phone to French, or anything else, then back to English, and see if that solves your problem. I have to say, it's not one I've heard of before...

Hi Matt & Jan Sorry to have stumped you both. :p I scrolled in settings-all apps-learn more. The language appears to be Italian! I've changed the phone language to French and back again to no avail... As you can imagine I've been scrolling with my new toy & thought the "learn more" would be of much interest! If only I could read Italian! Thanks both of you.:(

Maybe "learn more" just encourages you to, well, learn more...like Italian? :p

I did some Googling, but to no avail. I can't find any other reported cases of the problem. Is the phone an English phone or was it imported...from maybe Italy... :p?

lizzyrioone  Aug. 29, 2011 at 10:18

Yes maybe Jan!!! Just haven't the time though!!!
No Matt.. My HTC was bought in TESCO PLymouth. ! Very strange indeed! It only has 2 languages- French & English.....ANd of course Italian! Thanks;)

The "Learn More" button on my HTC just directs me to HTC's website. So you're not really missing out on any useful information if that's the case with you. If you're on the website, you can change the language at the top or if you scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and press on "Select your Region".

shuwaz  Sep. 1, 2011 at 00:29

this issue depends on where the phone was sourced from (i.e. where Tesco took the particular stock from). With Samsung, phones supplied to Europe come from three main regions (i.e. from the main distribtion warehouses in Europe).

matt101101 / MOD  Sep. 1, 2011 at 00:49

Sounds like Tesco were sourcing from Italy :p.

shuwaz  Sep. 1, 2011 at 00:54

è possibile.
Ma se hanno acquistato il Samsung Galaxy S2. :p

My foreign language skills stretch to a C in German at GCSE, I have no idea what you just said :p.

lizzyrioone  Sep. 1, 2011 at 08:02

hi there.. ALL. :3 Sorry to be a pain. But my son has just told me the foreign language is Spanish NOT italian... Just goes to show how dippy I am! Anyhow the problem remains unsolved.. I shall use the Pc for info... Thanks all,... ;);)

shuwaz  Sep. 1, 2011 at 12:13

my italian is poor but i was trying to say to you:
"its possible but you should have bought a SGS2.."
you meaning the OP.

matt101101 / MOD  Sep. 1, 2011 at 12:35

Ahh I understood the Galaxy S2 bit and the possible, I just didn't know what the bit in the middle meant. Lizzy, the point still stands, even if it is Spanish, it's probably just because that's where Tesco sourced the phone from. I agree with Shuwaz though, you should have got an S2 ;).

LOL...

Umm... The S2 is nowhere near the budget of a Wildfire S unless you guys were planning on helping her out with payments.

matt101101 / MOD  Sep. 1, 2011 at 15:26

I realise that, you can buy three or four Wildfire S' for the price of one SGS2 :p, I was joking.

shuwaz  Sep. 1, 2011 at 19:09

whats budget got to do with it?

My mate can probably afford ten SGS2's but chooses to go for the HTC Wildfire cos he couldnt care less what free phone his network offered him. :p

My Learn More on my new HTC Wildfire S is in Spanish. Any ideas how I can get this changed to english???

matt101101 / MOD  Sep. 26, 2011 at 19:59

It seems to be the language from where the phone originated, (was sourced by your network). Though it was suggested further up the page how you can change it, by Blizzard, I think :)

bkeneghan  Dec. 7, 2011 at 22:41

My "Learn More" is also in Spanish. Tried that hint of changing from English to French and back but it doesn't work. Did anyone manage to get this sorted? I got my phone from Orange.

matt101101 / MOD  Dec. 8, 2011 at 08:55

Sorry mate, we never did find a way to actually fix this. As a said back in September, it seems that the language depends on where the phone originates from. Saying this, Blizzard said all the "learn more", does is link to HTC's website, so you're not really missing anything :).

Here's a link to HTC if you fancy seeing what you're missing...in English haha :p

I've got this SPanish problem too , Learn More goes here:

http://mobile.htc.com/learnmore/wildfires/esm/howtos/index.html

Presumably somewhere there is an english version of this page, the app just need to point to it instead of the Spanish one.

Just found the English version here: http://mobile.htc.com/learnmore/wildfires/eng/howtos/index.html

Anyone know how to make the app point there instead ?
