LG wants to create a phone that thinks for itself

LG wants to create a phone that thinks for itselfThis is all a little far-fetched - but apparently, LG wants to bring out a phone that thinks for itself.

The manufacturer's thinking would be to have an alarm that actually wakes you up before its meant to because it's figured out you're going to work and has noticed there is heavy traffic ahead.

It's all very cloak and dagger and the MD of LG Mobile, Kwon Bong-suk didn't really lay out any other details other than to say that Apple shouldn't be the only company known for innovation.

Personally, we'd suggest they build a phone that knows when it is running low on juice and manages to plug itself in. Because quite frankly, that's the biggest problem we've had with their phones in the past.

The report, if your Korean is up to the job, can be read in full over on iNews24.

Wonder if it'll think damn I wish I wasn't made by LG.

And sod that I'd rather be late than be woken early.

"wakes you up before its meant to because it's figured out you're going to work and has noticed there is heavy traffic ahead. "

Using the GPS, it recognises a pattern that you spend 35-40 hours a week in a certain place, with an alarm set at the same time every day that you are there. It also plots the course you take to work and 30 minutes before your alarm is due it checks the current traffic status (already possible using certain apps), it then works out the delays and adjusts your alarm accordingly. Concepts are easy to solve but difficult to identify in the first place I guess...

Cheers for the link btw ;)

...and then of course, when you end up being woken up at 2 in the morning, or half an hour late for work...or your house burns down because your phone forgot to turn the oven off.... ;)

what worries me more is LG cant even implement android gingerbread right, look at the optimus 2x took ages for an update and even then its a dog rough version of android. LG should leave the software to software experts!!
