To be honest, I’m quite sure I’m the only one who giggled internally when a giant LG G Flex (left) popped up during the new Godzilla movie. ‘There’s that curved/bendy LG phone!’ I thought to myself, geekily.
There are more laughs on the way next year in the form of the LG G Flex 2, supposedly, and if you thought that “self-healing” rear was special, get ready for, eh, some other feature type thing.
For the second time today, credit goes to prolific tweeter @evleaks, with an oddly vague post.
He writes: “LG G Flex 2 coming mid-Q1 2015, possibly with a feature even more unique than self-healing plastic.” Possibly, you say? But possibly not? And what is this feature you speak of?!
You might recall the curved smartphone boasted “the ability to recover from the daily wear-and-tear scratches and nicks… keeping the G Flex looking newer longer.”
The question is: what could be more unique than that? Well, the current LG G Flex is naturally curved and capable of being pushed flat – with a bit of pressure. The next logical step is something that’s even bendier, possibly even folding in half.
Only – what? – nine months to go till we find out, though inevitably there’ll be loads of leaks and rumours in the meantime. Heck, even LG is incapable of keeping its trap shut till launch time, so expect teasers aplenty.
