Samsung revealed its curved Galaxy Round a few days ago, and not to be outdone, South Korean rival LG is set to unleash its own take on curvy goodness within weeks.
In the meantime, as we await official words from Dr. Jong-seok Park and crew, we’re getting a peek at some leaked LG G Flex renders.
The main thing to take from the renders is that the LG G Flex is apparently curved around the horizontal axis, much like the Samsung-built Google Nexus S, but seemingly more extreme.
The theory there is that the phone curves naturally around your giant head while on calls. Makes a bit more sense than the Samsung Galaxy Round, anyway.
As for LG G Flex specs, we’re almost at a complete loss, other than Engadget telling us it’ll have a 6in display. Full HD? Dunno.
However, if it’s looking to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Round, the LG G Flex will have to crank it up a notch, the former having a quad-core Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM and 1080p resolution. Er, that’s assuming there’s actually a market for these curved beasts.
The LG G Flex launch is tipped to go down in November sometime.
